Maxima co-founder Vanessa has been described as a very tenacious and client focussed professional by Susan Dunn of Harbour Litigation and Mark Wells of Calunius to name a few, of her peers in the Third Party Funding Market place.

 

Since the successful launch of Maxima in 2007 as the first independent broker to enter into Third Party Funding, Vanessa has worked on high profile cases, through to complex commercial litigation and arbitration claims. She has considerable experience in understanding her clients requirements and has excellent contacts throughout her industry and is often able to pull together a litigation team on her reputation alone, in order to assist her clients getting their cases presented in the right manner to attract funding.

 

In 2009 Vanessa launched a general insurance brokerage to extend the service offering of the Maxima group and now heads up the commercial legal expenses and Intellectual Property Insurance side of the Group.

 

She has placed in excess of 200 cases for commercial ATE insurance with indemnity cover ranging from as little as £100k to 10M plus, per case. Vanessa has developed good relations with the insurance providers.

 

Among her many achievements, she has developed a specialised niche in the music industry in relation to intellectual property rights, royalty disputes which has resulted in Maxima becoming the partner of choice for an increasing number of high profile bands, solo artists and their managers.

 

Vanessa worked with her co-founder on the Status Quo royalty dispute between Coghlan, Lancaster, Parfitt & Rossi and is currently working on the Cole v Howlett claim against The Prodigy, EMI & Ors as well as other cases that are not in the public domain.

 

Vanessa’s interests include horse riding, zumba, reading, cooking fine dining, socialising and running Alpha.
